If you haven’t come across Cave yet this summer, then where have you been?  Formed in early 2005, this is one of the most exciting bands on the folk rock circuit at the moment.

Cave have enjoyed an impromptu busy summer in 2005, with very well received sets at Sidmouth and Ely Folk Festivals amongst others.  The band have created quite a stir and have often been the subject of much discussion on the Fairport Convention section of the ‘talkawhile’ site.

The band pride themselves on writing original songs inspired by artists such as Fairport Convention and Jethro Tull, while still retaining their own unique sound.  Guest musicians Guy Fletcher (Tickled Pink, Little Johnny England, Morris On Band) and Simon Care (Ex-Edward II, Albion Band, Tickled PInk) have added an extra dimension to the band.

The band are building a large loyal following. Their debut EP has almost sold out, and Cave will be hitting the road in 2006 with the newly recorded mini album.

With so many people talking about Cave, it looks to be a very exciting time for folk rock...
