Dansaul are named for members Dan Plews and Saul Rose, with other members Guy Fletcher and Mark Woolley. A ‘tight and tasty’ band with a repertoire that mixes Dan’s original songs and tunes with items from further afield, and a smattering of compositions by other band members. Their debut CD shows a lightness of touch and frothy good humour that are immediately appealing.
The band’s influences are fashionably diverse - Celtic, French Canadian, and a bit of Cajun and indie-pop knitted together with unusual care; this is a band that seems to understand the genres it juggles with and mixes them together with total success.
